During our annual Centers Gathering, hosted by Hollyhock 12-17 May 2019, our overall theme is the Inter-generational transfer of Leadership. Many participants have commented on how relevant this is for them. During the week we’ll also cover a range of topics including;
- Leadership and communication
- The role of money in transformation
- Education and programming
- Marketing and analytics
- Sustainability and spirituality
For a truly holistic experience there will also be morning yoga and meditation, rowing and birdwatching. In the afternoons you can relax with a healing massage, or enjoy more active outdoor time; sailing, kayaking or hiking. Or you might want to dive deeper into an area of interest and join a small focus group.
The Gathering is a blend of themed sessions, open space and social time with some of the best conversations unfolding in an organic way. There’s also a supportive structure to the week.
On Monday afternoon we invite the group to choose from two options related to Money and Transformation and we outline these below. Ideally each group will be evenly balanced. Whichever option you choose you’ll still have the opportunity to explore the other one during open space later in the week.
Cultivating an Empowered Relationship with Money
Organizations can waste or miss out on funds because individuals on their Board and management team have totally understandable hang-ups around money. This is only natural! Money and finances can be dysfunctional in our culture, everyone has money issues. What stops organisations are the emotional and unconscious patterns of scarcity and fear around money. What’s more, we don’t tend to talk about this stuff. It is taboo. If those issues aren’t faced with compassion, kindness and clarity, it undermines the organization despite the best of intentions.
Explore how you can start to free yourself and your Board and management from blocks around money, to help you achieve the financial results that your organization needs to thrive.
