We need a zappy and on the ball project manager who can make things happen quickly and efficiently and work with the team to form collaborations to deliver buildings projects, online initiatives and general magic.
We are looking for a multi-skilled role for someone who loves caring for properties – keeping them beautiful and working well. Skills include basic electrical, plumbing, and solid experience in carpentry, plastering, tiling, fabrication and machine maintenance. We need someone who is genuinely handy but also technical enough to maintain our biomass heating system, our bore-hole water system and sewage treatment plant.
We are looking for someone who walks the talk and can communicate elegantly and eloquently from the heart. We want to spread the news about what we do to the world: eco- building; organic/dynamic gardening and ecological conservation; the healing modalities we offer, both individually and on retreats; the team; the craft, the lifestyle. We want to inspire and inform. So we need someone who has skills in creating content for blogs, newsletter and social media posting. The ability to manage and update the website and SEO/ad campaigns would be ideal. Someone who is comfortable managing a budget that is tied to specific and measurable targets, and delivering on those targets.
This is a wide reaching role where you would be required to help answering phones and taking bookings; coordinating retreats; writing material for our social media and updating the website with information from our teachers. This is a great role for someone who can see what needs to be done and does it. Someone who can manage a big to-do list in a range of different areas. We are looking for someone who would like to learn and grow with the company.
We have a formal garden, a lake, ponds, a chalk stream, woods, water meadows and we are making a large biodynamic kitchen garden to supply all the food for retreats. We need someone who loves nature and works with nature at the deepest elemental and spiritual levels. We need to work symbiotically with nature to let her flourish and bring us bountiful harvest, while keeping the right balance with human activities and use of the land. We need someone who brings creativity and flair and who can work with our vision for the garden to be a healing and teaching tool for our guests. Someone who works hard, swiftly and efficiently.
We are bringing food in-house so we can guarantee that it is made with love. The role will be to create for retreats but also to help us start a cafe for holiday guests on site. A key aspect will be to work with the garden team to produce seasonal and nutritious food. This will also involve foraging and the impetus to create different botanical drinks (as alternative to alcohol) as well as snacks, pickles, preserves, jams, fermentations, etc. It would be an ideal position for someone who is excited by and capable of creating, costing and cooking delicious menus; making plans for necessary staff variations and also teaching our guests about how to best nourish themselves and heal through food.
The business is growing and becoming more complex. We need a financial wizard to keep a firm hand on revenue and expenditure. We need someone who can help build robust financial systems in all areas of the business. The role is to work with our team and accountants to do day to day management, weekly reporting, and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the financial systems. The post-holder is responsible for producing monthly accounts, undertaking variance analysis, and implementing and monitoring financial controls.

We are looking for people who have meticulous attention to detail, are swift and thorough and take good care of our properties. Most of all, we love people who
take real pride in their work and can work well across departments to ensure high standards and a great experience for our guests.

The nature here is varied and abundant and the energies of the land are especially conducive to healing and sanctuary. We particular encourage any modalities that can respond to West Lexham, the land, nature and food that we grow here. We are looking to create a holistic experience for guests here, so if you are drawn to group work or running workshops as well, please do let us know what you would like to offer.
We are starting to program our own content in the form of weekend retreats and afternoon workshops for guests. The idea is to form a holistic oeuvre, based on nature and healing, that links together a balanced way of life. We would like a healthy diversity of topics from growing, to food and drink to healing and creativity, or anything beside that inspires and enlivens. Please get in touch if you are interested in offering sessions for groups, or to share your thoughts and suggestions.
