Bio: Ali Slous is a strategic communications specialist who loves to engage challenges and discover solutions.
Ali was born and raised in Montclair, NJ, which served as a perfect jumping off point for her early career in New York. After graduating from Cornell University, she spent a decade developing her skill set in NYC agencies and consultancies, working with global brand clients such as Expedia and Amazon. Following her growing interest in yoga and spirituality, Ali booked a one-way ticket to the Big Island of Hawaii, where she worked her way up from Kitchen volunteer to Executive Team at Kalani Honua.
During her 4 years at Kalani, Ali was awarded and delivered over $100K in grants from the Hawaii Tourism Authority and County of Hawaii, produced flagship events such as Hawaii Yoga Festival and Puna Music Festival, and relaunched Kalani.com with the support of her talented and versatile team. In addition, she met her partner, Mischa, and decided to reside in Hawaii’s Puna District, which she currently calls home. Ali is now focused on independent consulting with a range of clients.
Ali believes that Centers are essential to preserving the human spirit of collaboration and unity, and enjoys connecting with individuals from all walks of life.
