Bio: Nate is a technology and business visionary that works in the creation of solutions for global challenges at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and business. Using his strong business background at Menla Retreat & Spa, he helped sales growth and created numerous efficiencies through software implementation. To improve connectivity for all software solutions and returning guests, he built a new computer network from the ground up, further enhancing organizational performance.
This technological improvement allowed the retreat center to maximize the use of their resources, and this experience inspired Nate to found his own tech company GR17.tech. His company work was on the creation of network efficiencies and software solutions, thus helping in streamlining resources at retreat centers through technology.
An essential part of his life is embracing simple living and sustainability. This passion drove him to build his own tiny house on wheels and start a small bean to bar Chocolate company that contributes to the protection of the fragile ecosystems of the world. Nonetheless, his biggest drive remains a long-lasting desire to give back to the retreat world and community, which gave him a higher purpose to his work. He ultimately believes that his career path will continue to thrive in a deeper way by being in this sector.
He currently lives in Albany, New York with his partner Veronique Couttee who are together working on future technology and sustainability business ventures.
