Kashi Ashram is an interfaith spiritual community based on kindness, compassion and service, embracing the sacred practices of many traditions.
Kashi, meaning ‘City of Light’, is one of the names for the ancient Indian city of Varanasi. However, Sebastian, Florida, has its own ‘City of Light’, founded by Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati in 1976.
With roots in the lineage of Ma Jaya and her guru, Neem Karoli Baba, Kashi’s values exemplify the ideal that all paths followed with a sincere heart lead to one’s own God within.
Kashi’s purpose is to awaken a radical awareness about one’s spiritual self
and the issues that face the world today.
