Contributions to the Bursary Fund enable people from diverse backgrounds, as well as centers beyond Europe and North America, to participate in the annual Gathering. The greater the participation the richer the experience of mutual learning and support amongst peers – sharing ideas, inspiration and initiatives across cultures and continents.
Each year we respond to requests from people around the world keen to join the annual Gathering. Some participants are funded by the center they represent, others fund their own expenses, and others who would love to come are unable to cover the costs themselves. The Host Center and HCN Bursary Fund combine forces to offer financial support.
In this way, the following participants were able to join us for the 2012 Gathering hosted by the Findhorn Foundation:
Social Policy Ecology Research Institute (SPERI), Vietnam
Dam Trong Tuan
I appreciated the facilitation style of the Gathering at the Findhorn Foundation in 2012 and felt deeply touched by the level of spirituality, feeling and consciousness.
Participants were encouraged to bring the individual aspects of their own center or organisation to establish collective understanding within the group, and this felt very strengthening. Coming together like this is a great opportunity to consolidate the network.
The session on sharing the vision and purpose of each centre helped me to link what I’m doing in my daily work with our long term vision, which I feel will help the direction of the collective by addressing the commonalities between us all.
I believe there is great potential in future Gatherings to strengthen the connection between North-South Communities and feel very empowered by my experience of the Gathering. Thank you!
