Dear Colleague,
Over the past ten years, a number of holistic centers have been meeting to network, “hang out”, and learn from each other’s mistakes. These meetings have been marked purely by good will: a group of good people trying to do good work. Over the years, most of the holistic centers throughout North America have been represented: Omega, Esalen, New York Open Center, Interface, Naropa, Hollyhock, Wainwright House, Chinook Leaning Center, and many more. Although these meetings have been heartfelt and very rewarding, we have felt a need to spend more time together to work on the “nuts and bolts” of running a holistic learning center.
This year we have decided to take that annual meeting a step further. We have put together a seminar which focuses mainly on building the specific skills that are most needed to run a successful holistic learning center. What used to be a simple business is now getting progressively more sophisticated. The trial and error method of operating is not very productive. Issues of fund raising, direct marketing, advertising campaigns, financial viability, organizational structure, computer systems and networks are all part of common parlance. The more we can learn about them, the more productive our businesses will be and the easier our lives will be.
So if you are involved in a holistic learning center, even you have never been to our previous meetings, please come and join us for what we feel will be a very wonderful weekend.
We hope you decide to join us next month.
