Liza Hollingshead, Founder of Ecologia Youth Trust, will be attending the 2012 Gathering hosted by the Findhorn Foundation. She says, “Networking and linking holistic centres and groups with a common interest in Findhorn has been a key to our work and we look forward to continuing this cross pollination activity in the future.”
Ecologia Youth Trust is an international charity based at Findhorn that has been supporting youth and environment initiatives since 1988, linking many organisations with the Findhorn Community, particularly from Russia.
Kitezh Children’s Community is Ecologia’s key project in Russia and Ecologia has been actively involved in the growth and development of the Russian community for foster families and orphan children. Ecologia Youth Trust raises funds for building, provides professional training, supports children’s education, organises youth exchanges and sends international volunteers to work in the community.
Ecologia has recently expanded its work to include projects in Georgia, Thailand and Uganda.
