Moving forward together in new ways
It was nearly a month ago that we made the decision to cancel our annual in person Gathering and pivot to a virtual gathering instead. We’ve all been through so much change and in many ways the life we knew is hardly recognisable. Early on we were tracking centers various responses to Covid-19 in a shared google doc as we navigated the uncharted waters together. From monthly webinars we shifted to weekly community calls. Some simply a space to share with friends and peers, to witness and support each other. Some with a focus on how to transition to online programming or respond with fundraising initiatives adapted to these times. [Read more…]

Celebrating a Modern Mystic
Dorothy Maclean, Co-founder of the Findhorn Foundation
January 7th 1920 – March 12th 2020
Dear Friends of Findhorn around the world,
We received the news the morning of 13 March that our beloved Dorothy passed on peacefully the previous evening. Judy McAllister, who travelled and taught with Dorothy over the years, has been a dear friend for decades and one of her dedicated caring team, was with Dorothy during this time.
Dorothy celebrated her 100th birthday with the entire community in the Universal Hall at Findhorn in January. We celebrate that she lived to share this with us, and for all the love and wisdom that she brought into our world. Personally I’ll always remember her bright blue eyes, shining with an inner knowing; a deep connection with the divine. Her words of wisdom are a precious reminder of what’s important; that love is the great meaning of life and we all have the ability to connect with nature.

Here at Ananda Assisi in Italy we’re living the experience of the corona virus with high and positive energy and… as a really good opportunity to practice what we know! Yogananda gave a wealth of teachings on how to keep the body strong and healthy. One of the gems he gave us is his Nine-Day Cleansing and Vitalising Diet. This diet is designed to rid the body of accumulated toxins and increase our vitality. Many Ananda members do this diet every year with amazing results. It’s always much easier to do this diet as a group and it’s about time that we did it so here we go and you’re very welcome to join us… [Read more…]
The Inner Workings of Economics: Mapping Possibilities
By Peter Moore
Breitenbush Hot Springs in Oregon is organized as a worker-owned co-op. How that translates in the world of direct experience for those of us who live here can be wild and vivid. Most of those stories are never told (at least publicly) and suffice it to say, we have an amazing lifestyle! But inner experience can often be influenced by outer forces. The following story reveals a contemporary view of business life at these springs, right here/right now in the new roaring ‘20s. [Read more…]
